Five Years of Vegware and Recorra

This month we are celebrating five years of our ground-breaking partnership with Vegware! Together, we help turn your disposable food and drink containers into compost, which is used to grow food. So far, we have processed 855,820kgs of organic waste across over 50 sites!

What are the benefits of using Vegware?

  • Reduce the volume of your general waste, redirecting it to a circular stream
  • Support the circular economy

Breaking Down: What Happens to Your Glass

After collection, your recycled glass goes on an incredible journey. Our glass recycling partner, URM (UK) LIMITED, neighbours our MRF in Purfleet. They are so close, in fact, we can reduce emissions by delivering your glass collectiondirectly to their site!

At URM, your business’s glass is sorted by colour before being broken down into ‘cullet’ – clean, crushed glass ready to be remelted into new glass products. This process can be repeated indefinitely, making glass a true champion of the circular economy. With its ability to be endlessly reused without loss of quality, who knows where your glass could end up next or what it might become!

This year, we published our full Sustainability Stocktake and Carbon Footprint reportsin the interest of transparency and honesty.
