Respect the Insect

Recorra celebrated the International Day for Biological Diversity by highlighting an often overlooked, but crucial piece of our ecosystem: insects. Sustainability Consultant Tara Vellani breaks it all down in her blog, ‘Buzzkill: The Hidden Emergency of the Insect Crisis’.

Learn what Recorra is doing to align our actions with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and maintain biodiversity here.

Think Again: Carbon Catch Up

Over the past few weeks, our Net Zero Strategist Kirsten Zoe Smith has heard statements like:

  1. ‘There is no taxpayer benefit to investing in climate technology, and it’s a waste of government money.’
  2. ‘Coal is cheap, and the UK’s energy prices are expensive — we should return to coal.’
  3. ‘Coal is the traditional fuel of the British people.’

Kirsten will be spending the next several carbon catch ups dispelling these statements, one by one. See the remaining statements she will be refuting here, and stay tuned for more!

Do Your Part: Stop Food Waste

In celebration of Stop Food Waste Day in April, Sustainability Consultant Tia Patel hosted a webinar exploring how businesses can take meaningful steps to tackle food waste. The webinar covered everything, from how to respond to emerging legislation to steps that can be taken to improve event forecasting.
