The Mayor of London has recently unveiled a campaign targeting air quality in the capital. This campaign coincides with the launch of the T-charge – a charge for vehicles entering the congestion zone who do not meet exhaust emission standards. This charge seeks to improve London’s air quality, discouraging the use of old, more polluting vehicles.

The advert campaign features everyday items such as coffee cups and a baby’s bottle that are dirty with pollution, with headlines such as: ‘if you could see London’s air, you’d want to clean it too’. It is hoped that these striking messages will demonstrate to Londoners the seriousness of the issue and its impact on their health and the environment.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said: “I refuse to be a Mayor who ignores this and I am determined to take effective action to reduce the harm it does to Londoners.”

Paper Round fully supports The Mayor’s Air Quality Strategy. Not only will this make significant improvements to the air quality within the capital, it will also reduce the use of fossil fuels. We already have many Euro 6 and electric vehicles, and we are investing over £1 million to upgrade our whole fleet so we are fully compliant with the ULEZ by Easter 2019.
