Uniforms and other branded textiles with company logos or identifying marks must be handled securely to protect your brand and intellectual property rights. Recorra has developed a Secure Workwear recycling service to give your workwear a second life without compromising your brand.
Our process means many of your old garments can be repurposed. Anything that can’t be reused will be sent for energy recovery, giving you a complete zero-to-landfill guarantee.
Colour-coded, lockable bin for your discarded workwear items.
Many organisations provide branded garments to their employees which they are required to wear whilst undertaking their role. Uniforms include items such as t-shirts, trousers, hats, coats, PPE and much more. Often branded and colour coded they act as an identifying marker of your staff and business.
However, in the wrong hands, misuse of your uniforms could cause reputational damage. That’s why we securely dispose of your uniforms whilst also recycling them where possible.

Recorra’s Secure Workwear Recycling is the solution for compliant and sustainable disposal of branded uniforms and workwear. But don’t just take our word for it! After shredding, items are repurposed and used for insulation products. Fabrics are good insulators because air is trapped between the fibres, which slows down heat loss. This insulation will be used in residential and commercial buildings, bringing down energy usage.
Items will be sent for incineration to generate energy after shredding, fulfilling our zero–to–landfill guarantee.
Only staff vetted to BS 7858 will collect your textiles. Your lockable bins are taken to our secure shredding unit, before being shredded in compliance with BS EN 15713. You will be provided with a Certificate of Destruction to confirm this. We are also members of the British Security Industry Association.
Only staff vetted to BS 7858 will collect your textiles. Your lockable bins will be taken to our Secure Shredding Unit (SSU) and shredded in compliance with BS EN 15713. You will be provided with a Certificate of Destruction to confirm this.
The condition, quality, and type of the material will determine how your textiles are used. Items made from synthetic fibres (or less than 40% natural fibres) are more challenging to recycle due to their chemical composition and therefore may be sent for incineration after secure shredding.
